Purpose
What the UZIO mobile app can do, what still needs the web portal, and how signing in works. Feature-by-feature steps live in the articles for each feature; this article covers the app itself.
Signing in
Download UZIO from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Links are in the footer of the employee web portal.
Sign in with the same username and password you use for the web portal. There is no separate app registration and no separate app account. If you have never registered, register on the web portal first. See Registering Your UZIO Account.
Three things can stop you getting in even when your password is correct:
- Your app is out of date. UZIO sets a minimum supported app version. An older build is asked to update before it can continue. Update from the App Store or Google Play and try again.
- Two-step verification is not set up. Most companies require it. Until you have completed setup, the app will not open your pay, time-off or time-tracking screens. Set it up in the web portal under Account Information > 2-Step Verification, then sign in to the app again.
- You work for more than one company in UZIO. The app acts for one employer at a time. Switch employer in the app to see the other company's data.
Forgotten passwords and forgotten usernames are handled on the web portal's login page, under Need help logging in?. Changing your username or password is also done in the web portal, under Account Information.
Finding your way around
The app is organised around the things you do most: your time off, your schedule and your time entries, with a menu holding everything else. Your timesheet, pay stubs, team approvals and the employer switcher sit in that menu, and notifications are reached from a bell icon.
Exact menu names and the set of items shown vary by app version and by what your employer has enabled, so use the capability list below rather than a fixed map of screens.
Note: Anything your employer has switched off, or has not given you access to, does not appear in the app. The app never shows more than the web portal would.
What you can do in the app
"If your employer allows it" below means the same setting or permission that controls the feature on the web portal also controls it in the app. The app does not have its own separate permissions.

Where to go for help
Your employer controls which modules you see, whether payroll information is visible to employees, and whether you can manage your own payment method and withholding. If something in this list is missing from your app, ask your company's HR team before assuming the app is broken. If the app asks you to update, update it first.
