Viewing Your Schedule (Web and Mobile)

Purpose

Find your assigned shifts and any open shifts at your location, on the web portal or in the mobile app, and understand why a shift your manager mentioned may not be visible yet.

Who can do this: Any employee whose employer uses UZIO scheduling and has added you to time tracking. A blank schedule usually means one of those two things is not in place yet.

On the web

Open the Time Tracking > Schedule tab. You see your assigned shifts and any open shifts created for your work location, with a view selector for day, week or month. It opens on the Week view.

On the mobile app

Tap Schedule in the bottom navigation:

  • My Shifts — your shifts for the week, with week-to-week navigation. Scheduled time off and holidays appear here too. Tap a shift tile for its details and for the Swap and Offer actions.
  • Open Shifts — unassigned shifts at your work location that you can claim.
  • Shift Requests — the swap and offer requests you have sent and received.

Changing who works a shift

Swapping a shift with a coworker, offering it to someone else, and claiming an open shift are all available in the mobile app. The employee web schedule supports the same three actions where your employer has scheduling turned on. Every one of them needs your manager's approval before anything moves. See Swapping, Offering, and Claiming Shifts.

Notifications

UZIO raises a notification when a schedule is published, before a shift starts and before it ends, and at each step of a swap, offer or open-shift claim: requested, accepted, rejected, approved and denied. Which of those reach you by email, SMS or push depends on your company's settings. In-app notifications live under the bell icon on the More page, and tapping one opens the schedule.

Common problems

My manager says I'm scheduled, but I don't see the shift

Managers build schedules as drafts and then publish them. You only ever see published shifts. If your schedule is empty, the most likely reason is that the schedule for that week has not been published yet. Ask your manager to publish it. Also check you are looking at the right week; the app opens on the current one.

Can I reject a shift my manager assigned me?

No. There is no reject or decline action for an assigned, published shift. If you cannot work it, you have two routes, both before the shift starts:

  • Swap it against a coworker's shift, or offer it to a coworker who is free at that time. Both need your manager's approval. See Swapping, Offering, and Claiming Shifts.
  • Ask your manager or HR directly. They can edit or unassign the shift on the scheduler.

The Accept and Reject buttons in the app apply only to swap and offer requests a coworker sends you, never to a shift your manager assigned.

Why can't I clock in on a scheduled day?

Your company may restrict clock-ins around schedules. Common restrictions are blocking a punch when no published shift exists, requiring you to clock in to your assigned shift rather than to "Unscheduled", and holding clock-in until close to your shift start. The messages you will see and what to do about each are in Clocking In and Out.
