Purpose
A DSP (Delivery Service Partner) is an Amazon delivery partner. On UZIO a DSP is an Amazon Exchange account, and its employees are Delivery Associates (DAs). Most of UZIO works the same way for a DSP as for any other employer. This article is the map to what does not.
Features that exist only for DSPs are documented in this module. Features that merely behave differently for a DSP stay in their own module, with a DSP note at the point where the behaviour diverges. The map below points to both.
Who this is for: administrators and payroll users on a DSP account. Individual actions are gated by the same permissions as on any other account, so what you can do depends on your role, not on the DSP label.
The map
| Area | What is different on a DSP account | Where it is documented |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon incentives | Realtime and Lookback bonuses are non-discretionary and trigger an automatic overtime true-up through pre-seeded earning codes | Processing Non-Discretionary Incentives |
| Amazon recognition bonuses | "DA Recognition – Together We Appreciate" and "Frontrunner of the Year" are discretionary, with overtime recalculation locked off | Processing Discretionary Bonuses |
| Cortex integration | A Chrome connector pulls Amazon Cortex driver, schedule and delivery data into UZIO every 30 minutes | Setting Up the Cortex Data Connector |
| Cortex reconciliation | A dedicated screen compares Cortex activity with UZIO punches before payroll, with employer-set variance thresholds | Reconciling Cortex and UZIO Hours |
| Time-off policies | UZIO creates and assigns up to three policies for you, including two New York statutory policies | Time-Off Policies UZIO Creates Automatically |
| Time-off earnings | The matching payroll earning for each policy is created and linked automatically | Company-Level Earnings |
| Working-hour limits | 12-hour daily and 60-hour rolling-7-day limits are evaluated for Delivery Associates at shift create and publish, and on offer, claim and swap approvals | Working-Hour Limits for Delivery Associates |
| Override monitoring | A banner warns when administrators have rewritten a high share of a pay period's Delivery Associate punches | Manager Override Monitoring |
| Time Tracking enrolment | Overtime-eligible employees are enrolled into Time Tracking automatically, so new Delivery Associates appear without any manual step | Employee Setup and Rule Assignment |
| Editing old time | Time entries and pay periods older than 30 days are read-only. Corrections beyond that window are made as payroll adjustments | Approving Timesheets and Payroll Sync |
| Time entry format | Duration-based entries are refused. Every entry must carry a clock-in and a clock-out time | Reviewing and Correcting Your Team's Timesheets |
| Time imports | Timesheet Import and the Time Entries Import action are hidden | Time Tracking Reports |
| Kiosk PINs | Employer users cannot view or reset a kiosk PIN. It is masked on screen, though Send Kiosk PIN still works | Controlling How Employees Clock In and Out |
| Time Tracking settings | Settings carries an extra Cortex Integration tab | Time Tracking Setup and Configuration |
| Scheduling | Scheduling is enabled for you, and every publish, offer, claim and swap approval runs the Delivery Associate compliance check | Getting Started with Scheduling, Managing Shifts |
| Portal navigation | The Time Tracking menu adds Cortex Time Variance, and Alerts & Insights adds DSP-only checks | Navigating the Employer Portal |
| Home page | The Compliance Dashboard is switched on for every Amazon exchange, and carries DSP-specific tiles | Your Employer Home Page |
| Integrations | The Zoho Recruit, rapid! Paycard, Deputy, Paycor and Clear I-9 tiles are not shown | Integrations Overview |
| Two-factor authentication | 2FA is optional at the Amazon platform level, so your account decides whether to require it | Two-Factor Authentication |
| Billing | The billing contact and company details on the invoice come from the DSP contact on your order form | Viewing Your UZIO Invoice |
| Reports | Some custom-report field labels use Amazon terminology | Creating a Custom Report Template |
What your Delivery Associates see
The employee experience is also affected in two places:
- The Time Kiosk is self-service. Delivery Associates manage their own kiosk PIN, because employer users cannot view or reset it. See Using the Time Kiosk.
- Shift swaps, offers and claims are checked. A manager's approval can be refused when accepting the shift would break the 12-hour or 60-hour limit. See Swapping, Offering and Claiming Shifts.
What is not different
Most of UZIO behaves normally, and the standard articles apply as written. Benefits administration, employee records and documents, onboarding, expenses, reports, and the mechanics of running a pay run are the same on a DSP account as on any other. Where a DSP difference exists inside one of those areas, the article carries a DSP note at that point. If you do not see one, the standard behaviour applies.
Still to confirm
- The full DSP-only feature inventory. Product has not confirmed whether DSP-only pay codes, compliance reports, or route-specific scheduling rules exist beyond the map above.
- Amazon's maximum acceptable override rate. Amazon quotes DSPs a cap, but our own sources record two different figures, so UZIO does not publish a number in this library. Confirm your current cap with Amazon. Whatever it is, the way to move the number is the same: push corrections back to employees as self-service edits routed through approval, and leave a clear reason on every manual change.
